Words of Wisdom Blog! I'm Jasmyne Trimble and this is my "wisdom" blog. The
purpose of this blog is souly meant to combine and apply my knowledge that I
have learned from the novel, "To Kill A Mockingbird." Then to create a blog
sharing some of the books many words of wisdom. Live your life to the fullest
and do as others do for you.
Wise Teacher
"The end doesn't necessarily justify the means"
This rings home because we always hear the phrase by Machiavellian "The end justifies the means." However, it really doesn't. It is more important to keep your integrity and to do honorable than to do whatever it takes to get what you want. You are as only as good as your reputation and your reputation is based on the means by which you achieve the goals in your life.
Michelle Trimble, my aunt, was born on July 30, 1972 to parents Michael and Harriet Trimble. She grew up as the middle child of four siblings and attened Escambia Highschool. She has four children Samantha, Michael, Brittany, and Brandon and works as a nurse. She has been an influence in my life by teaching me how to express myself. She shows me how to artistic and encourages me to be creative in life.

No Time to Waste
"Live is short, enjoy it"
These words are especially true because you only live once. As the years go by and you grow old and frail, you really begin to notice how much time was wasted or how much time you used wisely. Don't get to the end and say "Oh, Well I wish I could've done this" or "I should've done that when I had the chance." Life is too short and time is valuable so don't waste it.
Karen Trimble, my mom, was born on June 14, 1974 in Pensacola, Florida to Michael and Harriet Trimble. She attended Escambia High School, and then later in life became a vet tech. In my life, she has influenced me dramatically. She has gave me a sense of right or wrong, showed me the way to a happy successful life, and raised me from day one.

Out of the Norm
"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."
Faith is defined as "complete trust or confidence in someone or something." These words encouraged the people to step out of the unknown. To take faith in his dream and to make equal rights for all men. His "dream" along with other many other movements resulted in the desegregation of America.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 to Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an American clergyman and a prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. Without this man, there may not have been equal rights for all people.

Let Us Be Free
"Man is not free, unless government is limited."
To keep free, limit government. Everyone deserves the right to know what they are supporting, when the show their support. Don't support bigger government ideals, such as welfare, and regulations, and falsely believe in freedom. With bigger government comes less freedom. Until they come to their senses, they will be forever bonded in chains.

During the Cold War, he not only served as a conservative icon, but also as commander and chief of the United States. His importance is magnificence as his contributions are credited to leading to the fall of the Soviet Union.

We are all equals

~ Scout's response to Jem's theory of there being four kinds of folks in the world, ordinary folks like them, kind like the Cunninghams out in the woods, kind like the Ewells down at the dump, and the Negroes
These words show us how all people no matter what, race, our family name, our occupation, at the bottom line, we are all just people and are created as equals. Going hand and hand, we should all look at each other as equals and treat each other as equals also. Therefore, equal rights need to be set and justice needs to be kept blind.

Don't backdown

These are words of wisdom since it teaches us that courage is not someone holding a gun, or using force. Anyone can do that. Courage is when you can do something you sought out to do, even though you know you will not win it or succeed.Sometimes you'll win, the majority of the time you won't. However, only true couragous people can do this.

Stand up for what you believe
"They’re certainly entitled to think that, and they’re entitled to full respect for their opinions...but before I can live with other folks I’ve got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn’t abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience"
~Atticus talking to Scout because she assumed Atticus must have been wrong for defending Tom Robinson, since everyone else thought so.
These are words of wisdom because it teaches us that just because everyone else believes something, doesn't mean what you believe is wrong. You should never agree with one side because of "majority rule". Stand up for what you believe in and be faithful to your opinion. Your conscience is not based by majority rule.

These are words of wisdom because it teaches us that just because everyone else believes something, doesn't mean what you believe is wrong. You should never agree with one side because of "majority rule". Stand up for what you believe in and be faithful to your opinion. Your conscience is not based by majority rule.

Friends in Adversity
"The friend in my adversity, I shall always cherish. I can better trust those who helped me to relieve the gloom of my dark hours than those who are so ready to enjoy with us the sunshine of my prosperity"
We could all learn from these words of wisdom. Learn to value those who are and always will be there for us, rather than those who only come around when times are good. Because In the end, they're the only ones that matter. Forget those who are only with you when the sun is shining, they don't deserve it, and make more time for those who stand by you even on a cloudy day.

Grant was a highly successful general during the Civil War and then later, became the 18th president of the United States. Ulysses proved to be a great, fundamental American and contributed to America as a whole because, without Grant, America probably wouldn't exist or at least stand as one. He worked hard to unite the states.

Live Your Life
"There are just some kind of men who--who're so busy worrying about the next
world they've never learned to live in this one, and you can look down the

~ Miss Maudie explaining religion to Scout, when she said it made no sense to her.
This quote warns us of how people are so busy trying to be "good" and live up to certain standards, that they never truly live. "Looking down the street" is to only show the devastation these expectations can cause, not only in your life, but the life of others also.

Ingnorance Hurts
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view...until you climb into his skin and walk around in it"
~ Atticus told this to Scout after hearing of her series of misfortunate events at school with Miss Caroline
Too often we try to judge other people, without ever even considering trying to see their side of matters. If people start trying to "climb into someone's skin and walk around in it", we could better understand each other. Then from better understanding, also respect each other's opinions, although we may not necessarily agree with it. With no understanding, in addition, comes the fear and zero tolerance for the unknown. One once said, "Ignorance is the cause of fear; fear is cause of war." This stands true, whether it is war with another country or a war within a community.
